Green Built Parade of Homes Kicks Off

If you are like so many other home buying consumers who are wishing for lower heating and air conditioning bills, then you will definitely want to pay attention.  Custom home builders have begun meeting the demands of today’s home buyers.  And to display the initial phase of production, the Home Builder’s Association of Dallas’ Green Built Parade of Homes will kick off a multi-week event featuring the finest in home craftsmanship. 

Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 22 – October 7, 2007 beginning from 10:00a.m. to 8:00p.m. starts the very first annual Green Built Parade of Homes event in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  Custom builders will unveil the initial phase of eco-friendly homes, sometimes referred to as “Green Homes”. 

The construction process of a Green Home must conform to a high set of standards to include the following areas: energy efficiency, site management, indoor air quality, waste recycling, and homeowner education.  Custom home builders slated to showcase their work include John Spencer Custom Homes, Flagstone Custom Homes, Scarlett Custom Homes, Derecor Homes, Cashion Custom Homes, and Silver Oak Classic Homes.  Most of the homes on the parade circuit start at $650,000 and range from 4000 to 5000 square feet in size.  Based on consumer demand, we can expect to see many more builders jumping in to produces their own versions of eco-smart homes in the very near future.
