Real estate sales and consumer confidence is heating up to a whole new level in Flower Mound.   A total of 93 homes closed escrow in the month of April 2010, an overall unit volume increase of 58% year over the numbers in April 2009.  While distressed sales are not as abundant in Texas compared with other states, foreclosure sales fell while short sales slightly increased for the same period.

Although we are experiencing an increase in the number of home sales, Flower Mound’s average price per square foot is now $105.00.  In the month of April 2010, average sales price now rests at $294,056 which is a 3.37% increase over April of last year. The national median existing-home price is currently $173,100 for all property types.

As of April 2010, Flower Mound has 6 months supply of inventory currently on the market or 26 weeks absorption rate.  This data varies by area all across the Dallas-Fort Worth market.
