Coming Up Roses in Flower Mound Texas
Real Estate News | Coming Up Roses in Flower Mound Texas
The Wellington of Flower Mound general store is now open for business. Well, of course, the store I mention is not meant in a literal sense but more in terms of a figurative gist. The store is not made up of sticks and bricks but rather honest and open dialogue, straight from the heart. The purpose of my blog today is to give you some history and facts about one of the most popular cities in America.
My goal is also to compel you to invest in a home here. The Town of Flower Mound, Texas is a fast growing community of approximately 65,000 with a robust economy booming with residential and commercial business. It is conveniently located in the center of Dallas/Fort Worth. It’s also just a short eight mile drive from the DFW International Airport. Once occupied by Native American Indians, Flower Mound gets its name from the fact that a very large mound of free-flowing wild flowers exists in the southern area of the city.
Yes, it is in fact a city even though it has dubbed itself the Town of Flower Mound. A first edition Frommer’s publication recently selected the Town of Flower Mound fifth on the list of “Best Places to Raise Your Family: The Top 100 Affordable Communities”. What an honor it is to be named one of the best cities in America.
Within this city, are many wonderful master-planned subdivisions such as Wellington, Bridlewood, Wichita Chase, The Villages of Northshore, and Hillcrest. In addition, the Town of Flower Mound is highlighted by exemplary rated schools. Check out the Flower Mound school ratings at www.greatschools.net.
